Turner Valley is a town in Alberta, Canada. It is located 60 km (37 mi) southwest of Calgary.
Situated on Highway 22 (The Cowboy Trail),[2] the town was once the centre of an oil and natural gas boom. For 30 years, the Turner Valley Oilfields was a major supplier of oil and gas and the largest producer in the British Empire, but is presently undergoing a recession. Turner Valley is just 3 km from its sister town, Black Diamond to the east and about 25 km from a relatively undeveloped portion of Kananaskis Improvement District.
